We are the Eastern Suburbs
Nelson Eastern Suburbs is a proud not for profit football club, based in Southern Tasmania. Nelson is run by a hardworking team of volunteers and aims to give everyone an equal chance to play 'The World Game'. At Nelson, we have been playing football since 1977 and look to continue our passion for the game as we enter our 46th year.
Competitions
All Nelson teams participate in competitions run by Football Tasmania. FT administrate the junior competitions through age groups under 13 to under 20 and the Southern Championships for both Men and Women.
Our Home
Risdon Vale Oval is where the majority of both our Junior and Senior home games are held throughout the year. Located off Sugarloaf Road, Risdon Vale, our home ground offers exceptional change room facilities and a full size football pitch. Trainings are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings throughout the season, with match days falling on Saturday's and Sunday's.
Our Sponsors
We are proud to have four local businesses on board as sponsors for the 2021 season. This season our Senior Women's team will be supported by the Mornington Inn. In addition, we have three club sponsors in Hurricanes Cafe, Accru Accounting and Max Coombes & Son. This support will help our club a great deal and it is fantastic to have them on board.
